Here is a shortlist of the computer tricks and tips that everyone should know. It will make your online life easier.

Undo an action
If you have made a mistake and wish to undo your last action then simply click on CTRL+Z (Windows) or Cmd +Z (mac). Such a practical computer trick. You will use it loads.
Bring back a closed Tab
If you have closed a navigator tab too quickly and regret it. Then click on Ctrl +shift+T (Windows) or Cmd +shift+T (Mac). This happens all the time. Such a great computer trick to know. It saves time having to navigate through your history.
Go straight to the desktop
Wonderful when you have many windows open and just need to go back to the desktop then simply click on WIN + D (Windows) or Fn+F11.
Screenshot only the part of the screen you want
You do not always want to have to edit the print screen into photoshop. This allows you to save plenty of time. For Windows go to “start” then “snipping tool”. For Mac, click on Command + Shift+4 bring up the tool which allows you to select the area you wish to copy. I love this computer trick. So very practical especially when you are writing a blog and what to show what you are doing.

When you are tight on time, this small trick will make a big difference
Find the Wifi password
In Windows right-click on the Wi-Fi network connection icon > properties. Click on Show Characters box to show your Wi-Fi password.
In macOS, all passwords are stored in the Keychain App. Use the spotlight (hit Cmd + spacebar) to open the app and find your Wi-Fi network name in the list of saved credentials. An other one of these computer tricks that will save time.
Switching through open windows
Alt + Tab in Windows allows you to cycle through currently open windows. This makes it easy to switch between different open programs. In macOS, the shortcut is Cmd+Tab.
Download images easily
You can download an image from google by pressing alt and clicking on it (in Windows). On a Mac, you can press control and then click on the image. Once again an other hand computer trick to save time.
Private mode
It is so useful to surf the web anonymously. Pressing Ctrl + Shift + N will launch a new private window in Chrome. Ctrl + Shift + P will do it in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
