Connect to jitsi and launch your fist video conference
- Type into your browser jitsi.org.

- Click on “See it in action! Start a meeting”.

- It immediately launches a meeting.

From there you can:
- Find the link to your meeting.

Invite People
To invite people you have various options.
First you need to click on the little blue box “Invite more people”

Options 1: Copy Meeting Link

Simply click on the copy meeting link icon.
The link is copied to the clipboard of your computer. You can ten past it in any messaging tool you have installed on your computer (E-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, etc.). In this example we will do it via e-mail.
Open a new e-mail and in the body of the mail simply do a right click and paste the link saved to your clipboard.

This will simply copy the link. You will need to give a short explanation to your guests.

Share Meeting Invitation

You need to click on “Share meeting invitation”. If you click on the copy to clipboard icon, this copies the invitation to the Clipboard which you can paste in an e-mail as we saw in the above point.
contrarily to the copy meeting link, this one copies the whole invitation. Not only do you get the meeting link but also the information and options around it.

You can share the meeting invitation in:
These different icons represent: Default e-mail, Gmail, Outlook mail, Yahoo mail.
Depending on the default mail you have installed or the software you use, it will open the invitation directly into the mail.
All you will be left to do is to add the recipients.
Personally I prefer copying the invitation and pasting it in the e-mail myself. But once again this is really up to you.
Receiving a Jitsi invite and joining the meeting
Your recipient will receive an e-mail and all they will have to do is click on the link in the mail.

The link will take them to the following jitsi page.

They will have to simply type in their name and click on Join Meeting.
They will have to agree for Jitsi to use camera and microphone.

The connection is established.
